WESTWOOD, Mass.—Babson College senior Jackson Greenspan (Meriden, N.H.) earned his second consecutive New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Defensive Player of the Week honor on Monday afternoon.
Greenspan put in two strong performances as the Beavers picked up a pair of wins with back-to-back shutouts. He anchored a back line that limited two opponents to a total of just three shots on goal as the Green and White won 2-0 at Mitchell on Wednesday and edged Emerson 1-0 in overtime to remain unbeaten in conference play on Saturday.
Babson, which has kept four consecutive clean sheets, and has not allowed a goal in 416 minutes going back to September 22. Overall, the Beavers have conceded just five markers on the year and rank 14th in Division III with a 0.42 goals against average.
Babson (6-1-4, 2-0-2 NEWMAC) visits No. 3 United Soccer Coaches/No. 4 D3soccer.com Tufts on Tuesday at 7 p.m., and will travel to Wheaton on Saturday at 3 p.m.
