Doyley Named NEWMAC Rookie of the Year; Cromback, Schneider Also Honored
The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced its 2012 men's tennis postseason award winners this week, and three Babson College athletes were honored. First-year Ramone Doyley (Kingston, Jamaica) was named NEWMAC Rookie of the Year, sophomore Hubert Cromback (Cambridge, Mass.) received All-Conference Second Team honors at number five singles, and senior captain Danny Schneider (Littleton, Mass.) was named to the Academic All-Conference Team for the third straight year.

The Babson College men's tennis team saw its 2012 postseason hopes dashed on Saturday, as the Beavers fell to host Springfield, 7-2, on the final day of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) regular season. As a result, Springfield (7-7, 2-3 NEWMAC) locked up the fourth and final spot in the upcoming conference tournament, while Babson (5-12, 1-4) is forced to settle for fifth place in the final league standings.

Having ended the Rams' 24-match win streak with a 6-3 triumph last year, the Beavers have now handed Suffolk its only two losses over the last three seasons.
