THE SETUP
• The Babson men's and women's cross country teams head to North Dartmouth to compete at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational.
• The Green and white will be competing in the meet for the 19th time in the last 21 years.
• The men will run an 8k race starting at 11:15 a.m., which will be followed by the women's 5k race at 12 p.m.

LAST TIME AT THE UMASS-DARTMOUTH INVITATIONAL
• Senior Matthew Dynan paced his way to a 25:23 8k, edging Ryan Stender of Brandeis by two seconds to finish first in a field of 315 runners.
• The men came in seventh overall, while the women came in in 19th place.
• The women were led by junior Stephanie Rodriguez who placed 31st with a time of 19:24 on the 5k course.

SCOUTING THE BABSON WOMEN
• The Beavers finished fifth overall on the 5k course at the Smith Invitational.
• Sophomore Emma Cavanaugh lead the women running 21:39 to finish 19th to finish a second ahead of first-year Hannah Piispanen.
• Seven first-year harriers made their 5k debut.
• Babson returns nine harriers from the 2017 season, led by Rodriguez, who finished 24th at the league meet.

SCOUTING THE BABSON MEN
• The Green and White placed fourth overall on the 8k course at the Smith Invitational.
• Junior exchange student Nando Baumann turned in a second-place performance running 27:09 in his collegiate debut.
• Three first-years made their 8k debut.
• The Green and White brings back six harriers, highlighted by Dynan, who placed fourth at the NEWMAC Championships to earn his second consecutive all-conference award and placed 34th to earn all-region honors at the NCAA New England Championships last November.

SETTING THE STANDARD
• The men's squad recorded its lowest point total since 1995 at last season's conference championship, while the women's team recorded its best finish since 2011 at both the NEWMAC and regional championships last fall.

READY TO RACE
• Dynan, Rodriguez, and senior Chaela Hood, three of the Beavers top finishers at the league meet last year, are ready to make their season debut when the gun goes tomorrow.
