Women's Lacrosse Tops Claremont Mudd Scripps, 15-10
Babson College sophomore Trisha Babson (Duxbury, Mass.) scored four goals and added five assists for the womens lacrosse team in a 15-10 win over Claremont Mudd-Scripps in Lake Lytal, Florida on Thursday afternoon. With the win the Beavers snap a two game losing streak and improve to 3-2 on the season. Claremont is now 6-3 overall.

#1 Franklin and Marshall Downs Womens Lacrosse, 16-5
The #10 ranked Babson College womens lacrosse team fell to #1 Franklin and Marshall, 16-5, on Tuesday evening in their first of three games in Lake Lytal, Florida. Senior Blake Hargest (Cockeysville, Md.) led the way for F&M scoring five goals and adding five assists for 10 points. With the win, the Diplomats improve to 3-0 on the season and the Beavers drop to 2-2. Babson was led by senior captain and NEWMAC Player of the Week, Anna Collins (Winchester, Mass.) who finished with three goals. Senior captain Kaitlyn Pettengill (Hopkinton, Mass.) and junior Alyssa Hood (Newport, R.I.) each added one goal for the Beavers. Junior Ellen McCurdy (Weston, Mass.) picked up a team high three groundballs.

Collins Named NEWMAC, ECAC New England Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week
Babson college senior Anna Collins (Winchester, Mass.) has been named the New England Womens and Mens Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) and the ECAC New England Womens Lacrosse Player of the Week for her outstanding play in the first three games of the 2010 season. Collins totaled 12 goals and eight assists for 20 points in the first three games for eighth-ranked Babson. The senior All-American also added 13 groundballs and six draw controls as the Beavers posted a record of 2-1. The Beavers will take on #1 ranked Franklin and Marshall in Lake Lytal, Florida on Tuesday at 7pm.

Endicott Upsets Eighth-Ranked Women's Lax, 17-16, In Double Overtime
Endicott College sophomore Morgan DeShaw scored her seventh goal of the game in sudden-death overtime to help the Gulls defeat No. 8 Babson College, 17-16, on Thursday night in Beverly, Mass. The Blue and Green improve to 2-0 overall while handing the Beavers (2-1) their first loss of the season. Babson was led by Anna Collins, who had a team-high six goals, three assists and a game-high 11 groundballs. Kaitlyn Pettengill also added five goals while Taylor Kralovenec added three scores and Trisha Babson had two of her own and six draw controls for the visitors.

Women's Lacrosse Overpowers Eastern Connecticut, 18-6
The Babson College womens lacrosse team went on a 7-0 run to start the game and never looked back as they defeated host Eastern Connecticut State University, 18-6, on Thursday afternoon. Babson was led by senior captain Anna Collins (Winchester, Mass.) who tallied three goals and four assists for seven total points. With the win, the Beavers improve to 2-0 on the season while the Warriors of Eastern Connecticut start their season off at 0-1. The Beavers scored the first seven goals of the contest in just over 15 minutes of play and went on to score an additional seven before halftime to give themselves a comfortable 14-3 lead at the break. The Beavers outshot their opponents 32-14 with 25 of those shots coming in the first half while forcing 26 Eastern Connecticut turnovers.

#11 Women's Lacrosse Opens Season With Thrilling 11-10 OT Win Over #8 Union
First-year Taylor Kralovenec (Cos Cob, Conn.) scored the go-ahead goal with 16.3 seconds remaining in overtime to lead the Babson College womens lacrosse team to a thrilling 11-10 victory over visiting Union College in a high-powered season opener featuring two nationally-ranked programs. With the win, Babson, ranked 11th in the nation in the seasons first two IWLCA polls, start off at 1-0, while Union, ranked eighth in the country, begins the year at 0-1. Babson was led by senior captain and two-time All-American Anna Collins (Winchester, Mass.), who finished with three goals and one assist, and sophomore Trisha Babson (Duxbury, Mass.), who also recorded three goals and one assist while picking up three ground balls. Kralovenec added a pair of scores in her collegiate debut, junior Alyssa Hood (Newport, R.I.) posted one goal and one assist, and senior captain Kaitlyn Pettengill (Hopkinton, Mass.) tallied four groundballs and four caused turnovers. Junior goalie Sarah Macary (Woodbury, Conn.) was outstanding in net for the Beavers, finishing with eight saves.

2010 Season Preview: Women's Lacrosse
Led by senior captains and reigning All-Americans Anna Collins (Winchester, Mass.) and Kaitlyn Pettengill (Hopkinton, Mass.), the nationally-ranked Babson College women's lacrosse team will be seeking its fourth straight NEWMAC Championship and NCAA Tournament berth this spring. Along the way, the Beavers, ranked 11th in the nation in this season's first two IWLCA polls, will face one of the toughest schedules in program history. Among the team's 2010 opponents are four nationally-ranked squads, including Middlebury (6th), Union (8th), Tufts (9th), and current national number-one Franklin & Marshall.
