Wojnar, Festa, Hanly Tabbed All-New England Third Team
The Babson College women's soccer team enjoyed its most successful showing in 18 years when the NSCAA released its 2012 All-Region awards this week, as the Beavers saw three individuals garner recognition. Senior goalie Lisa Wojnar, junior Amy Festa, and junior Kelly Hanly were each named to the All-New England Third Team - marking the first time since 1993 that the program had three regional honorees.

Wojnar Selected To Play In NEWISA Senior Bowl
After enjoying a brilliant season in net for the Babson women's soccer team, senior captain Lisa Wojnar has been selected to play in the 2011 New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Senior Bowl. The game will be held at Merrimack College this Sunday, December 4, at 11 a.m.

Wojnar, DiPhilippo Headline NEWMAC Women's Soccer Awards
After posting an 11-5-2 record this fall the Babson College women’s soccer team received multiple honors when the NEWMAC announced its annual postseason award winners on Tuesday. Senior captain Lisa Wojnar was named NEWMAC Co-Player of the Year, while first-year Jessica DiPhilippo was chosen as the conference Rookie of the Year.

Women's Soccer NEWMAC Quarterfinal Game Against Clark Postponed To Wednesday
The Babson College Athletics Department has announced that the NEWMAC Women's Soccer Tournament Quarterfinal game between fourth-seeded Babson and fifth-seeded Clark has been postponed to Wednesday, November 2, at 2:30 p.m. The contest was originally scheduled for Tuesday at the same time, but was moved due unplayable field conditions caused by this past weekend's snow storm.

MIT Edges Women's Soccer, 2-1, In Overtime
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – With 55 seconds remaining in the first overtime session, sophomore Rachel Dias Carlson (Albany, N.Y.) booted in a feed from junior Emily Kuo (Chicago, Ill.) to give MIT a 2-1 victory over Babson College in a NEWMAC women’s soccer game on Saturday afternoon. Kuo also scored the Engineers’ first goal as they defeated the Beavers for the first time since 2002 and improved to 12-3-2 on the year and 6-1-2 in league play. Babson, meanwhile, saw its ledger fall to 11-4-2 overall and 6-2-1 in the NEWMAC.

NORTON, Mass. – Senior goalkeeper Lisa Wojnar (Bellaire, Texas) made 11 saves and posted her third consecutive shutout to help the Babson College women’s soccer team earn a 0-0 draw with Wheaton College today in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's soccer action Tuesday afternoon at Mirrione Stadium. NORTHAMPTON, Mass.—The Babson College women’s soccer scored twice early in the first half and again early in the second half to build a three-goal lead before hanging on for a 3-2 victory over Smith College in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference match in Northampton this afternoon. Sophomore Stefani Paulinelli (Weston, Fla.) and junior Amy Festa (Medfield, Mass.) tallied first half goals two minutes apart, and Festa added another tally early in the second half for the Beavers, who have won six straight games and hold an eight-game unbeaten streak. 2011 Season Preview: Women's Soccer
After a second-place finish in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) and a trip to the conference title game, the 2011 Babson women’s soccer team comes into the season looking to continue their momentum. Eight starters and 16 letter winners return for the Beavers, who went 11-7-2 in Nellie Pineault’s first season as head coach. Overall it was the program’s seventh straight winning season and their second trip to the NEWMAC Tournament championship game in four years.

Babson Women's Soccer Schedule Posted
The Babson College women's soccer recently released its upcoming 2011 schedule. Among the Beavers' opponents are four teams that qualified for last year's NCAA Division III Tournament, including National Semifinalist William Smith and NEWMAC rivals Springfield and Wheaton. Head coach Nellie Pineault's crew will kick off its season with its version of the Babson Fall Classic, co-hosted by Wellesley. The Beavers will open the tourney against powerhouse William Smith on September 3 and then take on Roger Williams the following day.
