Babson Honors Class of 2012 at 31st Annual Senior Athletics Awards Banquet
The Babson College Athletics Department held its 31st Annual Senior Awards Banquet on Friday night where a total of eight individuals received honors. Two women’s basketball seniors, Kathleen King (Framingham, Mass.) and Nicole Wurdeman (Rowley, Mass.) were named co-winners of the Female Athlete of the Class, while men’s soccer senior Max Walker (Newton, Mass.) was named the Male Athlete of the Class.

Volleyball Cruises Past Mount Ida, 3-0
BABSON PARK, Mass.—The Babson College women’s volleyball team earned its fourth-consecutive win, defeating Mount Ida College, 3-0 (25-17, 28-26, 28-18) in a non-conference volleyball match tonight at Staake Gymnasium. The victory helps equal the longest win streak of the season for the Beavers, and ties them with the 2008 team that finished 16-12, for the program’s highest win total since 2002.

The Beavers dropped a four-set match the host Bears and were swept, 3-0, to cap the afternoon against UMass-Dartmouth. The Green and White (11-9) have now dropped three straight matches after posting a five-game winning streak.

In a NEWMAC women’s volleyball match on Tuesday night, host MIT defeated Babson College, 25-18, 25-19, 25-13. With the win, the Engineers improved to 17-5 on the year and 3-2 in the league while the Beavers dipped to 11-7 overall and 2-3 in the NEWMAC.

Women's Volleyball Announces 2011 Schedule
Babson College recently announced its 2011 women's volleyball schedule, which will be comprised of a minimum of 29 matches overa 21 regular season dates. Highlighting the team's slate will be three tournaments and a pair of tri-matches, including one at home during Back To Babson weekend. Led by new head coach Eric Neely, the Beavers will open their 2011 campaign with a road match at Salve Regina on September 1. The team will then compete in back-to-back tournaments at Norwich on September 3 and Brandeis on September 9-10.

Eric Neely Chosen As Babson's New Head Women's Volleyball Coach
BABSON PARK, Mass. -- The Babson College Athletics Department has named Eric Neely as its head women's volleyball coach and coordinator of club sports, Director of Athletics Josh MacArthur announced recently. Neely comes to Babson after a brilliant six-year career as head volleyball coach at Ursuline Academy in nearby Dedham. During his tenure, Ursuline went 94-40 and won four South sectional Championships. Neely was named Boston Globe Coach of the Year in 2008 after leading the program to a 20-2 mark and one of its two league titles under his guidance. An avid volleyball player and teacher, Neely has also served as a coach for Smash Volleyball's Junior Olympic teams since late 2006, and he coached the Women's club team at Northeastern University this past spring.
