  • Men Finish 19th, Women 24th at NCAA New England Cross Country Championships

    BRUNSWICK, Maine- The Babson College men's and women's cross country teams competed at the NCAA New England Championships on Saturday hosted by Bowdoin College. The Beavers came in 19th with 577 points in the men's race and recorded 781 points to place 24th in the women's meet at the Pickard Field Cross Country Course.

    BABSON PARK, Mass.—The Babson College men's and women's cross country teams kicked off the postseason at the NEWMAC Championships on Saturday, while four other programs will begin tournament play this week. Nationally-ranked field hockey and men's soccer will begin play by hosting semifinal contests on Thursday, while women's volleyball and women's soccer are set to play quarterfinal matches on Tuesday night.

    BRUNSWICK, Maine.- The Babson men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Maine State Invitational at Bowdoin's Pickard Field to preview the NCAA New England Regional Championship course on Saturday afternoon. The men placed eight in the 19-team field on the 8k course, while the women finished ninth out of 18 teams on the 6k course.

    DARTMOUTH, Mass.-  The Babson men’s and women’s cross country teams competed at the UMass Dartmouth invitational for the 19th time in the last 21 years. The women placed 17th on the 5k course out of 45 teams, while the men finished 18th on the 8k course in the field of 41.

    NORTHAMPTON, Mass. — Junior Nando Baumann (Heiden, Switzerland) turned in a second-place performance for the Babson men's cross country team running 27:09.3 in the 8k during his collegiate debut at the Smith Invitational. The men came in fourth overall, while the women finished fifth.

    NORTON, Mass.--First-year Collin Regan (East Greenwich, R.I.) placed second in the men's race, while classmate Hannah Piispanen (Winchester, Mass.) came in third on the women's side as the both Babson College cross country teams fell to Wheaton College on Friday afternoon in their annual season-opening dual meet. The Lyon men defeated the Beavers 22-34, while the women of Wheaton defeated Babson 21-37.
