    BABSON PARK, Mass.—Junior Jack Halpin (Glastonbury, Conn.) smacked a three-run homer in the top of the sixth inning and senior George Crowley (Watertown, Mass.) hit his first career grand slam in the eighth inning and finished with six RBI as fourth-seeded Babson College defeated top-seeded MIT, 16-13, in game three of their New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) semifinal series on May 1 in Cambridge.

The Beavers dropped the opener, 1-0, and were defeated 5-1 by the Lyons in game two.

The Beavers won the opener 11-8 before the top-seeded Engineers came back with a 6-0 triumph in game two.
