He is now eligible for the Academic All-America squad, which will be released in early June.

    BABSON PARK, Mass.—Despite being forced to celebrate virtually, the Babson College Department of Athletics honored 86 student-athletes in the Class of 2020 with its 39th Annual Senior Awards Banquet on Friday night. Eleven awards in all were handed out, highlighted by men's golfer Chris Bornhorst (West Newton, Mass.) and Elizabeth Cameron (El Dorado Hills, Calif.) being recognized as the Male and Female Athletes of the Class, and men's soccer's Steven Heintzelman (Middleton, Mass.) and Kristin Carosotto (East Greenwich, R.I.) winning the Eric Dosal and George C. Wilson awards, respectively.

    When I made the decision to play baseball at Babson during my senior year of high school, I figured I would be getting the opportunity to continue playing the game I loved while attending one of the best business schools in the country.     BRIDGEWATER — If Hartford High graduate Jordy Allard returns for a third season with the Upper Valley Nighthawks this summer, it will come after a detour. Allard has signed a 10-day contract with the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod Baseball League. The deal is essentially a tryout for a spot in what is considered the nation’s top summer baseball circuit.

    Good teams get the big things right; they hit, field, run, and throw. Great teams get the big things right, but more importantly they do all the "little things" that are often the difference between winning and losing. Some of the "little things" are the result of day in and day out coaching and practice, such as executing a bunt or taking the correct route to a ball. Others are all about each players' attitude and discipline, such as hustling out of the box and communicating with teammates. Coach Noone instills that discipline and attention to detail in his players from the moment they step on campus.
