  • Babson Athletics, NEWMAC Plan to Move Forward with Spring Varsity Sports

    BABSON PARK, Mass.—Pamela P. and Brian M. Barefoot Senior Director of Athletics and Athletics Advancement Mike Lynch announced Babson College’s plan to move forward with spring varsity sports, specifically competing in New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) regular seasons and championships.
  • Men's Golf's Gesner Honored as Student-Athlete of the Week

    Junior Burt Gesner (Severna Park, Md.) was selected as the department's Student-Athlete of the Week on Friday. He posted top-30 finishes in each of his four tournaments back in the fall of 2019 and finished the season with a 76.38 stroke average. A 2019 All-CAC first-team selection, Gesner earned his second consecutive academic all-conference honor last spring in addition to being named to the Srixon/GCAA All-America Scholar list.

    BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College head men's golf Jeff Page fired a 2-over par 74 and holds a two-shot lead after the opening round of the 60th Massachusetts Senior Amateur Championship at Willowbend Country Club in Mashpee.
  • Men's Golf's Wilson Tabbed as Student-Athlete of the Week

    Men's golf senior Reed Wilson (Redlands, Calif.) was chosen as the department's Student-Athlete of the Week on Friday. Wilson, who earned 2017 NECC Rookie of the Year and 2019 NEIGA All-New England honors, posted a 74.88 scoring average last season and boasts a 76.10 career stroke average. A member of the Honors Program at Babson, he has twice been named to the CAC Academic All-Conference team and garnered Srixon/GCAA All-America Scholar accolades for the first time back in July.
