BOSTON—Babson College sophomore Nick Rosa (Birmingham, Mich.) added to his postseason awards haul when he was named to the New England Hockey Writers Association Division III All-Star team earlier this month.
Rosa is the 18th Babson player to be honored by the New England Hockey Writers Association and the first since Jamie Murray '16 and Mike Vollmin '16 back in 2016. He was one of 10 forwards and 20 players overall named to the Division II-III team.
A first-team All-New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) selection, Rosa produced career highs of 14 goals and 16 assists for 30 points in 27 games this past winter. He ranked third in the league in points and was sixth in goals while producing the Beavers' first 30-point season since Terry Woods '11 back in 2010.
Rosa, who also was selected as one of 25 finalists for the Joe Concannon award earlier this spring, scored five times on the power play and led the Green and White with four game-winning goals in 2018-19. In 53 career games at Babson Rosa has produced 24 goals and 24 assists for 48 points.
Babson, which was ranked 15th in the final USCHO.com poll, finished the year at 17-7-3 overall after falling to eventual NCAA Division III runner-up Norwich in the NEHC semifinals back in February.
