Men's Swimming & Diving's Luu Earns Student-Athlete of the Week Accolades

Babson College senior Kevin Luu (Malden, Mass.) was selected as the department's Student-Athlete of the Week on Friday. Luu, who competes primarily in the backstroke and freestyle events, recorded five victories and 12 top-three finishes in dual-meet action in addition to helping the Beavers set a new program record with a time of 3:25:17 in the 400-yard medley relay at the NEWMAC Championships last February.

A two-time academic all-conference honoree, Luu recorded the top times of his career in two of three individual events at last year's league meet. He placed fourth in the B final of 100-yard backstroke, was eighth with a time of 2:00.77 in the 200 back, and recorded his top time of 22.17 in the prelims of the 50-yard freestyle.

In order to be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be either a junior or senior and carry a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.30.

Favorite Class at Babson
My favorite class at Babson would have to be Web Technologies because I was able to learn code and build a website from scratch.

Favorite Professor at Babson
My favorite professor at Babson is Zhi Li because he introduced me to coding HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Python and was always there to guide me in solving any problems I had with my work. He also has some good jokes.
