Babson College women's basketball senior Nicole Hiller (Rocky Hill, Conn.) was recognized as the department's Student-Athlete of the Week on Friday afternoon. One of the Beavers' two returning starters from last season, Hiller averaged 6.5 points and a team-high 9.5 rebounds in two victories over Fisher College last weekend.
She finished with 10 points and eight boards in an 88-42 win last Saturday and grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds as the Green and White completed its sweep of the Falcons with a 70-35 triumph on Sunday.
Hiller, who jumped into the starting lineup last January, is averaging 4.6 points and 2.4 boards in 78 career games. She ranks ninth in program history with 63 three-point field goals and is a career 32-percent shooter from beyond the arc.
In order to be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be either a junior or senior and carry a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.30.
