  • Women's Cross Country Places Five on NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team

    WESTWOOD, Mass.—Four members of the Babson College women's cross country team were recognized for their work in the classroom when the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) released its Academic All-Conference team on Wednesday morning.
  • Winicki Selected as Student-Athlete of the Week

    Women's cross country and track & field senior Caroline Winicki (Middlebury, Conn.) was chosen as the department's Student-Athlete of the Week on Friday. She competed in all six cross country meets last fall for the Beavers, recording a 6k time of 26:45 in both the NEWMAC Championship at Franklin Park and the NCAA New England Championship at Bowdoin in November. Winicki recorded her top career times of 20:14 in the 5k and 24:51 in the 6k as a first-year in 2017. 
  • Women's Cross Country's Cavanagh Claims Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

    Senior Emma Cavanagh (Southbury, Conn.) was selected as the department's Student-Athlete of the Week on Friday. She recorded the top 6k time of her career (22:30) at the Western New England Invitational last September and followed it up by becoming just the fourth female to earn NEWMAC All-Conference honors after crossing the finish line in a time of 23:13 at Franklin Park back in November. Cavanagh also was the Beavers' top finisher at last year's NCAA New England Championships, placing 55th overall. 
  • Regan of Women's Cross Country and Track & Field Programs Named Student-Athlete of the Week

    Senior Grace Regan (Kingston, N.Y.) of the women's cross country and track & field programs was selected as the department's Student-Athlete of the Week on Friday. A two-time New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Academic All-Conference selection, Regan was a part of two school records in the relays for the track & field squad and recorded her top career times in both the 5k (20:13) and 6k (25:43) for the cross country team as a first-year in 2017.
